How many bones are babies born with
and why do they have more bones than adults? The video by Dk Books explains to
us why this is. They state that there are about 300 bones within a human baby
but as you get older into adulthood, your bones fuse together. The tone of the
man in the video, created a way for people to become intrigued by what he had
to say and actually learn something out of it. In the video, there is a skeleton
which provide a visual representation of the bones that fuse together and how they
look after they do. Our skull consists of many separate bones that are connected
with cartilage and then they later fuse together. When I watched the video The
Skeleton Book, I felt this video was created to cater towards the viewers ethos
and logos because the man speaking in the video was in a doctor’s coat and he came
off very knowledgeable on the fact. If you watch other videos of theirs you can
see that they are a credible source therefore making the video appeal to the viewers
logos as well.

In the article by Healthline we can
see that they want to rely on our pathos in the first paragraph by saying, “It may be difficult to imagine when looking at a tiny
newborn baby, but that infant has around 300 bones” (How Many Bones). By reading
this, I can see how the author tries to tug at the thought of a baby that you
have cared about, nurtured, or loved to try to prove point. The very least, if
you don’t have a baby, we all know they are extremely cute so how could they
not be trying to access and sympathize with our emotions.
Ethos
is also very prominent in the article. They provide background information to
help you understand the Basics. They provide reason as to why a baby’s body
consists of more bones than an adult’s body-- to make it easier for the baby to
curl up in the womb. The article touches on topics of alcohol consumption during
pregnancy to individual bones facts such as, how many bones are in the hand. We
can get a lot of useful information out of this article therefore leading me to
believe that it this is a factually credible article.
